comments: Dear Sir, Very intresting and imformative page, indeed! I have
just begin to collect 8-track cartridges and players. 8-track was never officially sold in
here, so it´s allways a mireacle when you find a tape or two. To read a page so full of
8-track info and enthusiasm and see thet there is other "freaks" out there,
helps me to believe that the world is still analog (It is!). Thank You! Sincerelly, Jani

I am a music journalist and record collector in Italy.
(rare vinyl, CDs, magazines, cassettes...). I like the fascinating aura
surrounding the 8- track world and own some 30 cartridges in my collection,
though I don't have a player and guess they mustn't sound that good. But their
packaging and their charm is great: very analogical and space-age!

comments: Started with 8-tracks in 1995. I bought a 1966 Ford Mustang convertible
which had an original Motorola inside. After I got it fixed I started to look for
cartridges. I also own a 1968 Mustang fastback which also has the original player. At home
I have a Hitachi D135 8 track deck, on which I make my own 8 track tapes (I copy music
from CD). So I make my own tapes for playing in the car. I own about 1000 pre-recorded
tapes of rock-music and it has become a great hobby. I also have some rare 8-track
adaptors for playing normal compact cassettes in the 8-track players. All 8-track freaks:
KEEP ON TRACKING.

comments: I started collecting 8-tracks in 1997, I now (november
'98) have over 500 cartridges. It is hard finding nice 8-tracks for a good price in The
Netherlands and some times I have to make the hard decision NOT to buy some thing. Last
week I bought approximately 110 cartridges for only 35 guilders ( 18 us dollars). I'm
still looking for written material about 8-tracks. I hope to gfind more inreresting
bargains in the future. Zijn er nog andere nederlanders die 8-tracks verzamelen? Mail dan
even.

I was in love with the technology of the 8 track ever since I
got an Akai cassette, cartridge and reel combo to play/record my
grandads old scotch reels and later discover this site and found
it wasnt stupid to like them and now have nearly 100 cartridges
and 4 car players, the radiomobile is the best one and I have it
in my Mk4 Ford Cortina.

here in New Zealand.Where have they all gone? Anyone from NZ know where I can find one

I've got mine from the US ( where else?). This site cooks, just love it and really glad I

melted belt and it sounds great. This is my 8track Christmas story. Take care,

which I collected during the past few years. From SENN SOUND Switzerland I found a player
that looks like a "carousel", that means, I can put about 8 cartridges on and
choose them as I would like to. Alltogether I have over 1'000 8-tracks and am always happy
fo find other ones. More news about me to follow as soon as I got my own website.
